Emmanuel College's president, Sister Janet Eisner, may be known for spearheading the former women's school's successful transition to co-education in 2001, but land management will likely be an equally important legacy. The article covers the successfu l transition to co-education in 2001. Another important impact for the school is a 70-year ground lease signed in 2001 with Merck & Co. Inc. of Whitehouse Station, N.J., that is scheduled to house a Merck research facility and about 300 scientists by 2004. The article was published in the Boston Business Journal on March 7, 2003
